0.03% of My Mission in Texas
October 22, 2020
Let me just start off by saying, us folks with last names starting with letters at the end of the alphabet always get the short end of the stick
"Each of us were called to come to Earth at this exact time and in this exact place to touch the lives of certain people, serve, and fulfill our own personal missions. He wouldn’t have sent us here at this time if He knew we couldn’t handle it. 1 Nephi 3:7 says, And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my father: I awill go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no bcommandments unto the children of men, save he shall cprepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.
With this knowledge, even though our burdens may not be lifted, we can continue on with a cheerful heart and trust the will of the Lord as He directs us to become who He knows we can become! He has provided a way! He will always provide a way."
How can each of us fulfill our own personal missions?
I know for me, I have focused a lot recently on having an eternal perspective. Missions are hard and saying goodbye to the life that you are comfortable in is difficult. This past month I've struggled a few times with leaving people, experiences, and places behind.
While it definitely is still hard, I know that a mission is just a sliver of my time on Earth and my eternal life! I found peace in knowing that life will still be here when I get back, but this is the only time that I will be able to dedicate every second to the Lord. The sacrifice is 100% worth it!
Isaiah 41:13 “For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.”
I know that I can do whatever the Lord has prepared for me because He is cheering me on and helping me every step of the way!
